Nudge ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it,
and the choices you have when you use the Nudge iOS app.
1. Information We Collect
Nudge is designed to store your data on your device. We collect the minimum
information needed to provide the service:
- Goal and progress data — titles, notes, action items,
and completion history you enter into the app. This is stored locally
on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- Profile information (optional) — your name, age range,
occupation, and interests that you choose to provide to personalize
AI-generated nudges. This is stored locally on your device.
- Nudge messages — AI-generated motivational messages
are created by sending anonymized goal context to our Cloudflare Worker
proxy, which forwards the request to Anthropic's Claude API. We do not
log or store the content of these requests beyond what Anthropic retains
under their own privacy policy.
- Subscription status — managed entirely by Apple via
StoreKit. We never see or store your payment information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To display your goals, nudges, and progress within the app.
- To generate personalized AI motivational messages via the Claude API.
- To send optional push notifications for scheduled nudges.
- To display a widget on your Home Screen or Lock Screen.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Third-Party Services
Nudge uses the following third-party services:

Anthropic Claude API — used to generate nudge messages.
Goal context is sent to Anthropic's servers to produce a response.

Cloudflare Workers — our proxy server that securely
forwards requests to Anthropic without exposing our API key to the app.
Cloudflare may collect standard server log data (IP address, timestamp).

Apple App Store / StoreKit — handles all subscription
purchases and receipts. We never receive your payment details.

4. Data Retention and Deletion
All goal and profile data is stored locally on your device. You can delete
any or all data at any time by removing goals or uninstalling the app.
We do not maintain a server-side copy of your personal data.
5. Push Notifications
Nudge may send push notifications to deliver scheduled motivational nudges.
You can enable or disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings
screen or in iOS Settings → Nudge → Notifications.
6. Children's Privacy
Nudge is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you
believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact
us and we will delete it.
7. International Users
If you access Nudge from outside the United States, your goal context may
be processed by Anthropic and Cloudflare on servers located in the United
States. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you
of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued
use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
